About Motivated To Run
Motivated to Run began when running no longer felt like joy — it became a search for meaning.
After losing and rediscovering my motivation, I created this space to share honest reflections, small wins, and reminders that it’s okay to start again.
Some miles will break you.
But those are the miles that build you.
The moments when you want to quit…
When your legs are heavy.
When your mind is louder than your motivation.
That’s where growth lives.
If you’re running through a hard season right now — don’t stop.
You’re meeting the strongest version of yourself. 💪

Running before the world wakes up feels like the only time I don’t have to be anything for anyone else.
No expectations.
No noise.
No pressure to keep up.
Just breath. Footsteps. Space to think.
Those early miles aren’t always fast.
They’re where I feel most like myself.

The only person who needs to believe in my running is me.
Because comparison makes you forget how far you’ve come.
It makes you question your pace, your body, your progress…
like you have something to prove.
But running was never about impressing anyone.
It was about becoming someone I’m proud of.
If you needed this today — you’re not alone.

Marathon training is time spent on your feet — and a battle with your mind.
Because the hardest part isn’t always the distance.
It’s the doubt. The negotiations. The moments you want to stop.
And every time you keep going… you’re training for race day.
What part of marathon training is the hardest for you — the miles or the mindset?👇
...
I’ve made the decision to defer my London Marathon place.
Not because I don’t want it…
but because right now, I need to listen to myself more than my ego.
This one’s hard to share, but it’s honest.
And if you’re a runner, you’ll understand that sometimes the bravest thing isn’t pushing through — it’s stepping back.
I’ve written the full post and why I’ve chosen to defer.
It’s in my bio if you want to read it. 🤍

Some runs aren’t for fitness.
They’re for your mind.
Be honest — how often do you feel better after the run, not before?👇
...
Because marathon training isn’t about feeling strong every day.
It’s about showing up when you’re tired, when life’s busy, when your head starts doubting you.
So when race day gets hard — and it will —
you don’t panic.
You don’t crumble.
You just keep going.
...
Running isn’t always about the miles.
Sometimes it’s the only place my mind finally goes quiet.
No pressure. No pretending.
Just breath, movement… and a little bit of peace.
Does running quiet your mind too — or does it make it louder?👇
